CNX participates in the Impetus Private Equity Triathlon

On Saturday 16th September, a day blessed by the last of the beautiful summer weather, a pioneering team of employees – none of whom have ever previously competed in any kind of sporting event – bravely represented CNX at the Impetus Private Equity Triathlon!

We were proud to discover we had the only all-female team in any of the triathlon relay events (#EmpoweredWomen): our amazing Director of Legal Affairs & ESG Sarah took on the lap in the lake, Fiona our fabulous Financial Controller did the laps around the lake, and our wonderful Associate Finance Manager Iryna did the run up and down the lake – which ended up being at the hottest part of the day! Sarah’s daughter, Edith, also played her part in the Scootathlon, a fun event for children to scoot, ride and run at the beautiful Dorney Lake!

By participating in the triathlon CNX raised money for Impetus, an organisation what works to transform the lives of young people from disadvantaged backgrounds by making sure they get the right support to succeed in school, in work and in life. You can find out more about Impetus and their amazing work by clicking here. Through generous donations from friends, family, colleagues and connections, we smashed our fundraising target. This amount was then matched by both CNX and Inflexion – what an excellent result all round!

In addition to other PE-backed entrants, there was strong representation from across the Inflexion portfolio which made for a friendly (and only slightly competitive) atmosphere!

Sarah says “It was such a great event, even for tri-first timers! Proud to be a part of #TeamCNX with Fiona, and Iryna, and it was wonderful to meet so many colleagues from Inflexion and the other portfolio companies.”.

This is an annual event, so we are hopeful that this is the start of a wonderful CNX tradition!
